Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 September 2026. These terms apply to every SiteCraft Jersey website package and care plan. By placing an order you accept them.

1. Quotes and orders

Prices on this site are the full price. A package order is placed through the enquiry form or by email, and is confirmed when we send your demo link together with a proforma invoice for the 50% deposit. Nothing is payable before you have seen a live demo of your website.

2. The free demo

We build a demonstration of your website and put it on a real web address before you pay anything. The demo is yours to keep if you proceed; if you decide not to go ahead, the demo remains ours and is taken down. There is no charge and no obligation attached to the demo.

3. Payment

• 50% deposit on order (after you approve the demo), 50% on launch approval.
• Deposits are non-refundable once build work begins, because design and build time has been committed to your project.
• The final balance is due within 7 days of your written launch approval. Sites go live on your own domain once the balance clears.
• The Care plan (£250/year) renews annually. We email a renewal reminder 30 days before. You can cancel Care at any time; it simply lapses at the end of the paid year.

4. Delivery timescales

Basic sites: we aim to deliver within 5–7 working days of receiving your deposit and content. Full packages: 10–15 working days. Timescales start from the later of deposit receipt and our receipt of the content we need (photos, business details, text). If we finish sooner, your site simply goes live sooner — but the promised window is what we commit to in writing. We will tell you promptly if anything threatens the window, and delays on our side of more than 5 working days entitle you to cancel the outstanding balance and receive the completed work.

5. What we need from you

Photos you have the right to use, your business details, and answers to our short build questions. Stock photography is available if you don't have your own. We handle all hosting, domain, SSL and search-engine setup.

6. Your branding and content

When we build a demo for you, we may use your business name, contact details and services — information already public on your directory listings or social pages — to make the demo look like your website. Any logo, photography or written text from your pages stays yours: it is used in the private demo we send you only, and we never publish it on our own site or marketing without your written permission. If you ask us to stop using your branding at any point, we will, and any demo using it is deleted. As part of the build you can hand us your original image files and confirm in writing what we may publish — customer quotes, for example, are only ever used with permission from you or the reviewer.

7. Revisions

Two rounds of revisions are included during the preview stage. Small updates (text changes, swapping photos, price updates) remain free while you have an active Care plan. Larger changes — new pages, new sections, redesigns — are quoted separately and only proceed with your written approval of the price.

8. Ownership

Once the final balance is paid, you own everything: the site files, the design, your domain and your content. There is no lock-in. If you ever leave our Care plan, we will hand over or point the domain wherever you ask, at no charge, within 10 working days.

9. Portfolio right

We include completed client sites in our own portfolio and marketing only with your written permission — by default, nothing of yours is published anywhere on our site or socials. If you're happy to be shown (most clients are, once it's live), we say so with your name and a link, and you can withdraw that permission in writing at any time. We never publish your login details, business internals or anything you mark confidential.

10. Care plan — what's covered

Covered: hosting and server upkeep, domain renewal, SSL certificate, software/CDN maintenance, reasonable content updates, small tweaks, uptime monitoring and email support. Not covered: new pages or sections, e-commerce, third-party subscription costs after the first year (e.g. domain renewal in year 2+, billed at cost with receipt), or work caused by third-party edits to the site.

11. Missed-call text-back add-on

Where supplied, the missed-call text-back service sends an automatic SMS when a call to your SiteCraft-provided number goes unanswered. It depends on mobile carriers, and while delivery is normally within seconds we can't guarantee carrier behaviour. The service covers the automated text and a daily summary email; it is not a call-answering service.

12. Expectations — said plainly

We build sites that are fast, clear and set up properly for search. We do not guarantee rankings, enquiry volumes or income — anyone who does is not being straight with you. What we do guarantee: the site is live, tested on phones and desktops, and doing the job it was designed for.

13. Liability

Our total liability for any claim connected to your project is limited to the fees you have paid us for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Jersey law.

14. Data

Enquiries you send through our forms are used only to prepare your quote and manage your project. We don't sell or share your details. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time by email.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Island of Jersey. Disputes go to the Jersey courts.
